Extinct volcanoes and pristine tropical islands. Two spectacular half-day island walks and beachside bungalows.
3 Days / 2 Nights
Our Nguna and Pele Island tour is an unforgettable eco-adventure: an outer island experience that brings you in touch with the real Vanuatu. As Nguna and Pele Islands can be safely accessed by boat, there is no need for expensive airfares.
Your Vanuatu Ecotours driver will escort you to the islands where you will be looked after by your village hosts. You will stay in basic, but comfortable, village bungalows on the beach and enjoy home-cooked food straight from organic gardens and, if you are lucky, fresh seafood.
At Nguna, you have a choice which walk you do – and you must choose your walk before you depart. The Volcano Walk is a hard but rewarding walk as parts are steep and it can be hot. It takes 3 ½ hours on average. The intriguing Environment Walk takes about 3 hours but is easier and a good option for families.
The spectacular Round-Island Walk at Pele also takes about 3 hours and involves some wading and clambering over rocks.
You may book this tour without the walks, at a reduced cost.
The tour also allows ample time to relax on Pele’s iconic white sand beaches and to snorkel Nguna’s famous marine conservation area.
The vehicle transfer to the wharf at north Efate follows the west coast road and the transfer back follows the east coast road, meaning you also get to do a scenic round-Efate tour!
Full tour information, including ‘What to Bring’ and ‘Health and Safety Information’ is provided upon booking.
